Jesus mended our relationship with God

For He is [Himself] our peace. He has made us both [Jew and one, and has broken down the hostile dividing wall between us. Ephesians 2: 14

In this scripture, you can see how Jesus, paid such a price to bring us back to God.

The word hostile means:

1.Of, relating to, or characteristic of an enemy.
2.Feeling or showing enmity or ill will; antagonistic.

This is a very revealing word that verifies what the fall of men caused, and why it happened. The enemy of God, is the devil, is evil, and when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, how this created a hostility between them and God, and they lost the relationship. A wall was placed between us and God, a distance, because light cannot dwell in darkness. Our hostile ways were in darkness, we showed characteristics of the enemy, disobediance, lies, evil, hatred, adolatary etc. How could God have a relationship with us like in the beggining, if we are ill willed and prone to disobey Him, because of our characteristics.

So God sent His son to die, and His blood was shed to cover us, to cover and clense us of all those characteristics, and to birth us into His Spirit, given us new, Godly characteristics, that can never become unclean, because it is by the blood of the lamb, who reigns forever more...

Prayer

Father God, We give you thanks and praise Lord for sending your son into the world, and now He sits at your right hand, may we have grace Lord, and obtain favour in your sight, and dwell with you forever. Amen
