Learning To Love - Part 2

Learning To Love - Part 2

2 Peter 1:4 - 'Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.'

Your ability to love can be based on one of two things. Either you will love from God, or love from your history. One of the main reasons Jesus came to die for us was to show the love that he had for us. He laid down his life because of his love and he taught us during his life how to love properly.

But the enemy does the opposite and he comes in during your childhood to distort your perception of love and cause you to love improperly. I believe that God fathered Jesus, instead of a natural man doing it, because he wanted Jesus to have his blood. And when we are in Christ we become a "new creature" and we accept his blood as well. Bad blood carries disease and curses and impure blood can be passed on to your children.

Jesus was spiritually pure because God was pure and when we are in him, we can be purified so that our bloodline can be changed! We must have our blood purified by Christ's blood because generational curses, hurts, pains, and circumstances we grew up in will many times cause us to love based on our history instead of our heart.

For example, a small child or teen that was verbally abused by a parent or physically abused by a loved one will grow up under the impression that love is physically painful. So they will abuse or be abused by others for the rest of their lives if they do not accept God's love.

A child or teen that is sexually molested by a loved one will mistake sex for love and usually become promiscuous when they are older because that's how they see love.

A young child that is never held or physically comforted by their mother or father will grow up struggling to display affection and will many times struggle to be affectionate with their loved ones.

The way you were raised is how you will view love. And the enemy will use your past to mess with your ability to love in the future. But then came Jesus! The greatest spiritual feat ever performed was when Jesus died on the cross to take away our sinfulness! Not just our sins, but the effects of our sins and its history!

God changed our blood line by giving us his blood! So, the generation curses, the family injustices, the abuse, the neglect, the witchcraft, the slavery, the incest, the diseases, the physical ailments, etc. can be broken from us and we don't have to succumb to anything because we are blood related.

Jesus' blood can now run through our veins and all his attributes can now rule over us. We can love like he did now and we don't have to be bound to our history or led by our warped perception of love, but we can now love like God loves. Don't just accept salvation from Jesus, but also accept his blood! When you accept his blood, you break the curse that follows the blood of your ancestors and their sins will no longer govern your behavior! No matter how you were loved in the past, you can accept the love of Jesus and it will teach you how to love right!
