Heavy Load

Matthew 11:28 - Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary
and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon
you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will
find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I
give you is light."

God said he would put no more on us than we can bear. Well, then why are we so heavy at times? Because we tend to put more on ourselves than we can bear at times. We go out before the Lord and then after we acquire things, move things, fix things, break things, we ask him to "bless it" and call it him! God is tired of taking the blame for our mess. Many times we get overweighed by cares and circumstances that we have brought upon ourselves. We have to be careful not to go before God, but Follow God!!!! Remember that song,"wherever I go, let your spirit, follow me?" That song is dead wrong. We need to follow the Spirit. That way, we won't make careless mistakes and take on excess weight during our journey.

Many times we move according to circumstances rather than moving because God said move. And so many times, we isolate ourselves from the voice of God because we take the responsibility for all of our actions that are out of God's will. We are human, and our flesh speaks to us.

The key is to avoid making decisions based on our feelings and costly mistakes based on circumstance. God will guide you as long as you give him a chance to. But you have to stay close to him and surround yourself with people that can hear from him as well.

Your heavy load is there because of your decisions and actions, but God is always ready to lighten your load and teach you how to trust him instead of your feelings. There is so much God has for us, but we gotta stop claiming the wrong things and calling it him! And then we have the nerve to pray about it or "give it to God" when it brings us grief! My brothers and sisters, let go of the extra baggage and let God lead you so your burdens will be, as the bible says "light". Always Remember this, when it's too heavy, it's not from God!!
